In this modern age physical play is almost non existent. What we used to do as kids - run around and playing with other kids are now replaced with watching videos on an iPad, playing games with handheld gadgets. My personal preference is that I like my kids to be active and know how to interact and socialize and we practice just that. I do not judge other parents when they decide on giving their kids iPads or handheld gadgets because each parent and each child is different - who am I to compare or judge - I respect that decision of theirs.
