EATs London: Burger and Lobster SoHo

My SIL (Sister In Law) told me that her friend recommended that we eat at Burger and Lobster.  I researched and found a branch near our place, but the it didn't have reservations.  Since I was with my in laws, my daughter and my pregnant SIL - I looked at another branch that was willing to take reservations.  I saw that Burger and Lobster SoHo accepted reservations during lunch and dinner for parites that are more than 5.  Perfect!  So I sent them an email. I had to send them another email because my first email didn't go through.  I corresponded with Alan and he was really nice and funny.  They had two lunch seatings - one is 12:30 - 2:30 and another is 2:30 - 4:30.  We only had 2 hours to gobble up everything we ordered, that's their condition with reservations.  I thought 2 hours were good enough, so I booked the 12:30.  I was also told that they only gave 15minutes waiting time, or they'll give away my table if a walk-in party of...

QCSC: Pumpkin Seafood Surprise!

QCSC aka Quezon City Sports Club is our go to place when we don't have a cook.  Here, we get to just order the food and either bring it home or eat it there.  Plus there's a playground (not the cleanest, but it'll do - just to keep the kids entertained)  If you ask me, the quality of the food is just alright.  It's not the best and its not very bad - I think it falls in the middle category of the ' pwede na' but it's convenient since its nearby and familiar. One lazy Saturday afternoon, we decided to go to lunch at QCSC and it was suggested by our resident waiter to order the Pumpkin Seafood Pot.  Wow!  I thought it was new!  Cool, right?  I didn't know what to expect but, lo and behold - this was served to us: Surprise!  Surprise! It was good!  I think I will want to order this the next time we visit!  Hehehe.. New (late) discovery for me and my Panget!!

Cooking Quest #2: Parmesan Baked Fish

I have been wanting to do this for months! But it was just now that I found the time (and the urge) to make it. There's the baked fish bandwagon - you have Cookbook's Parmesan Crusted White Fish, Angel's Kitchen's Parmesan Cesar Fish, then there's Moksha's Baked Fish, and some others. Here's my attempt to satisfy this craving: Didi's Parmesan Baked Fish Ingredients: 1 small bottle - Mayonnaise (the REAL one and NOT the 'lite' one! 220mL) 2 fillets - Dory Fillet (easiest one to find in the grocery!) 1 teaspoon - Paprika 1/4 cup - Milk Bread Crumbs Grated Parmesan Cheese Salt & Pepper to taste Pre-heat oven to 3750C 1. Wash your fish in cold water then season them with salt and pepper. 2. In a bowl - combine well the mayonnaise, bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese (I can't say the exact measurements of the last three ingredients - its up to you - just make sure that the mixture is creamy thick! The more Parmesan cheese - the better!!) 3. C...
