Exhausted with the Little Drama Queen

I've noticed in the past 3 weeks that Kailee has become a certified *Drama Queen*.  She would burst into tears almost always whenever we say no to her wishes.  I was amazed on how she can turn on the waterworks in a snap!  Amazing!  I think at first, my Panget and I laughed about it.  But as the incidents became more and more - it has become irritating as hell. This is not a *Drama* incident.  It's just a funny picture I took of her crying. Hahaha!! While we were on vacation she was a drama queen.  I think she thought that she would be getting away with it.  But I let her cry and scream her lungs out.  I would always tell her that being like that will not help her get my sympathies.  At times, she would listen and know what to do, but more often - she won't.  She's being a child - well, she is a child after all! This morning, after her Father's Day activity, we went to QC to have a meal.  She asked for noodles and s...

Enjoy cleaning with Swiffer!!

I first saw this product in Tita K's IG post.  It got me curious, cause she said that it picks up dog hairs and it sticks to the fiber of her Swiffer.  I searched and searched until I saw Swiffer in True Value. I didn't buy it. Because I found it expensive.  In my head - why does a mop costs close to P1,000.00?   What is so special with this mop that it costs so much?!   I hesitated. That was about 2 years ago. The other day, I was with Cai and Kaye in S&R when I saw it again. Swiffer. Ask Cai and Kaye what my reaction was.  I was excited and undecided.  I then took one piece of this Swiffer *pack* and held on to it like a trophy.  I couldn't put it down.  I was like a child in a toy store, only what I am is a grown adult clutching an expensive mop.  I held on to it and kept looking at it.  I felt silly really - but hey, I'm old enough to enjoy and get kilig with cleaning materials.  Haha! That same night,...

EduPlay School Manila

Last week, I got Kailee's entrance test results from ICA.  She got in!  Yehey!  I knew she would be accepted BUT I still felt nervous.  I never expected to feel that way.  Hahaha!  First time parent, I guess.  I give credit to her teachers in EduPlay School Manila.  Since Kailee started in June, she has learned so much already and she had matured and developed in so many ways.  Everyday, I am in awe of what new thing she has learned.  I feel pride and joy whenever she tells me what new thing she learned that day.  You can see it in her eyes how much she enjoys going to school everyday.  Take note, she wakes up by herself!  We've only have two incidents of her refusing to wake up to go to school and that was just in the first month!  She really enjoys her school, I mean really enjoys school. I've written about out trial class in EduPlay last year .  Being there, seeing the teachers in action solidified my ...

Life after a Miscarriage..

First of all, let me THANK ALL OF YOU for reading my entry and for being supportive.  Even if you didn't leave a comment, I assumed that you were also heartbroken for me.  And that itself was already enough.  I felt the love guys, so THANK YOU! Miscarriages. Nobody openly talks about it.  But what I realized was, that it was quite common.  It's just that - no one speaks of it.  Taboo?  More like it's something you don't want to share openly because.. It's scary and painful. Reading news about Mark Zuckerberg's wife miscarrying, celebrities, actresses and friends of friends experiencing the same thing - well, it's not a sigh of relief exactly - but more of I know that I wasn't alone.  It happens to many of us women, it's just that - we don't openly discuss it. When I went through my miscarriage, I was miserable.  So many thoughts were in my head, I had no one to talk to.  My Panget couldn't seem to comfort me, my mom, my kids -...

My KidZania Manila Experience... Part 1

Woohoo!! * I need to make a part two because my post will be soooo lengthy!  You know how I am when I *kwento* Hahaha!! * KidZania is here!  To tell you the truth, I had no idea what KidZania is all about.  I had to google it when I head about it through friends last year.  I thought the concept was really nice and I was sure to try it once it opened. KidZania Manila recently opened its doors and everyone was excited.  I was included.  Hahaha!  The thing was - I had no idea when I would visit, but I was sure that I would.  My friend Kath, sent me a message inviting me to go with her since she bought her kids tickets.  I went online and bought for Kailee and Connor on the same dates.  Since we went on a *holiday* the rate was the same with that of the *weekend* rate which was a but more expensive with less time.  We chose the 1st slot - 9:00AM to 2:00PM.  I assumed that we wound be done by 1:00PM tops. A few days ago, my...

When your brain - FREEZES

I'm proud to say that this doesn't happen often.  Hahaha!   Ang yabang ko , but seriously - I think this has happened very few times.  But then, ever since what happened - there are moments that I pause or space out.  The most recent brain freeze story is when we travelled last week. Image grabbed from THIS page I don't like doing things the last minute.  I usually prepare at least more than a week ahead, more often that not - I prepare 2 weeks before a trip.  This gives me more than enough time to anticipate whatever it is that I missed or forgot, a game plan sort of.  But for this trip - I planned it just a few days ahead.  I kept postponing the planning, thinking it was still far away.  I can't fully explain why - but I guess my mind and heart were somewhere else.  There were far more things that I was worried about and needed my attention more.  I thought to myself that I can probably wing it.  Hahaha!  It ho...

Emotional Rollercoaster

I think I am going through one. Photo grabbed from this site - Takabisha First, I'd like to cry.  But no matter how I try, the tears just don't want to come out.  My friend M suggested that I watch a tearjerker - I would like to watch, but right now - I don't feel like it.  When I read comments and well wishes of friends, I get teary eyed - but that's about it. I think I need to cry .  I know I need to cry.  Crying is my form of release and I feel that when I cry - it somehow helps with the closure.  I'm very emotional and so crying is quite easy for me, but this time - I find it really hard.  I need help to cry. WARNING:  Another *emo* post ahead

On Class Suspension & Traffic

Today we experienced Kailee's first suspension of classes because of the weather. Thing was - she was already in school. I received a Viber message on the suspension - so I called him. Good thing, my Panget brings her to school and waits for teachers and some classmates of her to arrive before leaving her.  He was told that the school decided to suspend classes.  He then decided to just bring Kailee to the office instead of bringing her home. Good thinking - Panget! When I was younger, I would eagerly await the suspension of classes on AM radio.  (In today's time - there's Facebook and Viber groups!)  I loved it when there was no school!  It was a reprieve for a day!!  But now that I am a parent, all I can think of is * sayang tuition! *  Hahaha..  How ironic huh?  But I think at Kailee's age - she's still unaware.  She's enjoying school very much and is eager to wake up and dress up for school everyday.  I'm sure that in ...

Things happen for a reason..

It's empty. That's what the doctor said. I didn't know what I was supposed to feel. Image grabbed from this website **Warning - EMO post ahead** ( I am thanking you in advance for reading!! )

Clothes shopping on ELIN.ph

As I've said, I am a late bloomer. That means, in everything - most especially in fashion. Fashion?  What are you talking about?  I am not into fashion - and that I am.  I swear,  I am the most *tamad* person you will ever meet when it comes to shopping for clothes.  I am the type that will just wait in the dressing room while someone hands me clothes (what she thinks will be nice on me).  This happened a couple of times - with my sister-in-law.  But that was years ago, I think five years ago to be exact. A few months back - my good friend Kath gave me a loot bag, in it were two tops, two bracelets, two lipsticks and a long necklace.  I am very lucky because Kath hands me stuff that she thinks will look good on me.  I love it, really!  I feel like a kid receiving a Christmas gift whenever Kath sends me a text saying * I have something for you! *  Anyway,  so one day, I decided to try an Elin top she gave me.  I wor...

Play for Real with Johnson & Johnson

When I was young, I remember going to my grandparent's house to play with my cousins.  We would be running around in the garden, setting up tents and enjoying ourselves.  As the years passed and technology reached new heights - we had game boys, family computers and desktops.  But I have to say, nothing beats playing for real - running around, sweating it out under the sun and using our hands and whatever material we can find around to play with - it was a different high. A few weeks ago, the kids experienced this same high with their friends.  We learned about the importance of real play where all five senses were used.  I never thought about it actually that when kids are playing for real, using their hands all sweaty and dirty - that they actually use all their senses!  For me it was all about exercising - letting them sweat it out and practicing running and improving their motor skills!  It was an eye opener that even through real play - kids are...

On the go with Lysol To Go!

A few months back I was invited to the launch of Lysol Wipes .  I was so happy with the product that I even brought some with me to during our trip!  It was a lifesaver for us, especially when using public toilets!  I can't stress enough the convenience it has - I used it on the plane, in the airport, in restaurants, and other places.  It's so very useful! In line with this, Lysol is launching a new product - Lysol To Go! What is it exactly?  It's a miniature version of the trusty Lysol spray!  It's small and handy that you a can keep it in your bag and bring it with you everyday, everywhere!  Imagine my delight!  I am maarte when it comes to cleanliness so this is really something that makes me giddy with delight. I was telling Michelle, Lysol's brand manager that I used to lug around a small atomizer with diluted Lysol concentrate in my bag since I'm quite OC on cleanliness.  She now tells me that I can stop doing that and ...
