The Weekend that was....

I hadn't had the chance to make a very detailed post - thus, I will be posting an entry in bullet form: Was late to my first ever godson's Christening. The person to blame? My Panget of course! I was so disappointed in him, so disappointed . My new ' kumare ' forgave me naman ( I think ) but still - it was my first ever godson's day and - I wasn't there. What a ninang ! My Panget was all apologetic - kinda not enough though, but don't tell!! Zacch - my godson is the cutest ever!! He's very mobile (I mean for a 3 month old) He smiles alot and is so quiet!! Awwwwwwwww..... Such a cutie!! For the first time ever - played the Nintendo Wii at Andy and Annie's place. It was really fun! Literally, a very interactive game for everyone!! My right arms was sore until today! Went to watch A Love Story with my best bud KC in TriNoMa. I was expecting myself to shed a tear here and there - but I didn't! It was KC who did! Liked the movie - it w

A Love Story

I'm such a fan of Tagalog movies! I especially love the Christmas holidays here in Manila because of the MMFF - Metro Manila Film Fest! You can ask my Panget and my friends about it - they'd snicker and say that I really do love Tagalog movies. Okay, so yesterday - I woke up early - to watch 'A Love Story' with my best friend KC at Trinoma. We decided to watch it on its first showing which was 1230pm so we can do some other stuffs in the afternoon. The cinema was not so full - but acutally - when I think about it - I think for a Sunday morning - and since the movie has been shown for about 2 weeks now - it was still quite full! Anyhow, most of those who watched with us were - women!! Hahah.. I know.. The movie was nice. I liked it! I mean I liked it. It was a different type of Tagalog movie. They say that for a Tagalog movie - when you get to see the trailer on TV - that's it, you've seen it all! But with this movie - I was curious - who was the wife an

This is just TOO MUCH!!

There's a saying 'Suckers are born every minute' and I believe it! Because officially - I am one of them!! You see, I have been eyeing this Anya Hindmarch 'I am not a plastic bag' bag. It's already sold out everywhere! I've been lurking in eBay - to find that - THERE ARE KNOCK-OFFs! What else is new, right? Well, - okay - I have looked at so many pictures that I think that I can spot a fake one from a genuine one. There's this seller in a forum I'm part of - and she posted that she's selling one. She posted it on her site and in the site - there were 6 images. Okay - for a normal person - I think the pictures she supplied were enough - but as I learned from the expert goodguyyoung of eBay - he made a review actuallly it's not a review - it's a guide on how to spot a fake Anya Hindmarch - a buyer should ask for more pictures! And so, I sent her an SMS to ask if she can give me more pictures, closer images of the letters - she r

Marta's Cakes

I've heard a lot of raves about Marta Matute's cakes - I've seen quite a few and tasted only one. I liked the colorfulness of her cakes! That is what actually sets her apart from the other cake makers - the style she uses to decorate her cakes. I read from Market Man's post that she opened shop in Serendra. I was there about a month ago - but missed it! But about 2 weeks ago - I made it a point to go and visit the place - to see what it was about. Before I entered the shop - there was a sign at the door that said they were on dry run. And so when I entered the shop - I was expecting to see lots of people going gaga in the kitchen - kind of like what I saw in another dessert place just down the street. But alas - it was not! Instead of chaos - there was complete steady -ness. I was welcomed by a spacious restaurant - a well lit store, cute tables and chairs for adults and kids - a chiller with colorful goodies - and Ms. Marta Matute herself! She greeted me and my

Happy Birthday.. MOM!!

MOM!! Hugs and Kisses to you!! Thanks for everything!! :) Mwaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!

The Lake House

Before I go to bed - I usually watch a DVD - I either watch a series or a movie. Last night, I was planning to watch High School Musical - but then searched on my DVD stash - to see if there was a movie that I missed! I chanced upon 'The Lake House'! I was told by my friends that it was a nice one - of course, the Korean version - Il Mare was nicer. And so I watched it. And it made me cry!! Thrice! One thing though - I mean, if the guy was from the Past and he was doing little bits of details to change the future - won't that have a big effect on the future? Anyhooo.. I loved the movie!!! :)

Soooooooooo EXCITED!!

I am sooooooooo excited to watch High School Musical 2!! Since I can remember - I've always loved musicals! I have watched the Sound of Music about a hundred times, Grease about the same rate and HSM1 less than 50 times!! It's going to be shown on cable on September 9, 2007! I am SURE that I will be home during that time. Hahahahaha!! They all look so grown up!! Kenny Ortega (the guy in white) - you're the man!! Did you know that he choreographed Dirty Dancing?! Cool!

The Weekend Review..

Again - this will be in bullets! hahaha.. Friday was actually a slow day - the highlight was my mom cooking crabs! Yummy! I couldn't believe that I dozed off at 9pm! I wasn't even able to catch my favorite Teleseryes! Since I slept at around 9pm - I woke up at 1:45 in the morning! I actually thought that it was morning already! Since I couldn't sleep - I watched TV for a couple of hours - then, when my eyelids felt heavy - I decided to sleep (agai Woke up to sounds of heavy rains! I was planning to to go the Rockwell Urban Bazaar to support my friend - a new and upcoming designer - Tammy Tan . But since it was raining cats and dogs - and for fear that I'd get stranded in Makati - I decided to skip it for the next day My Panget picked me up for his cousin's daughter's birthday party at Acropolis - the theme - a Disney Princess' birthday! :) The food was okay - the place was really cold!! But it was fun! After the party - we headed to Cyma i

Random Ramblings

I will be using bullets this time - kinda lazy - maybe because of the weather!! Finally saw Die Hard 4.0 with my Panget last night (using his portable hard drive) - and it was great!! I enjoyed the movie so much - that I now know why it's Joey and Chandler's favorite movie of all time. Caught Disturbia last Tuesday night - kinda dragging at first - and the female lead? Well, her head is quite big for her body shape... Hmmm... The lead up was quite long though... The movie was okay - I was actually expecting more. Finally caught a glimpse of Marimar last night - Marian Rivera is very pretty!! She seems promising in her role! Dingdong Dantes seemed like he was left in the oven too long!! Found out a way to relieve my lower back pains - stretching my right leg!! Went to National Bookstore yesterday to buy my stash of Panda's scented blue pens. ( I just had to say this) Slow work week! Seemed like everything was in slow motion. Maybe because of the rain! Highlight of

Marimar

Okay - let's get it straight out - I have no clue what this Mexican Telenovela is all about. I know, people have been going gaga over Thalia long before the invasion of the Chino-velas! But seriously - what is it all about? I have friends who made it a point to go home early and finish their homeworks to watch this show - but really - was it really that good? You see, I am a sucker for Telenovelas, ask my mom, my friends and my Panget! They'd all say the same thing - that I am indeed a sucker for them, I'd watch them and even discuss possible spoilers of the show with people! Ahhhhh... this is my 'drama' in life... :) When I read in Sophie's blog - that she loved it (when it was still shown) - I sent her messages thru YM asking her what she show is all about. Ever so cute Sophie replied instantly - and here's what she told me on YM: sophie : marimar starts with a young raggeddy ann dressed girl sophie : hahaha sophie : with lolo and lola didi: n

Newest Crushie!!

Yes, at my age - I rarely get a crush - but last Saturday - well, since I watched a UAAP game live - there's this guy who caught my eye... And who is he?! He's they guy on the right most side.. Picture borrowed from animoism.multiply.com That's Simon Atkins. It's the first time I've ever I've heard of him - and seen him play... This is the most decent picture of him that I found on the web. Surprisingly - when I googled him - he wasn't there! I tried scouting for a nice pic - but this is the best one I found! BTW - these shirts really look cool! :) I want to get that one of Cholo's and of course - Simon's!! Hahahaha..

UAAP - DLSU vs UST

Araneta Coliseum - LIVE! August 11, 2006 I've quite forgotten what it felt like watching a UAAP game - live! Yesterday - I was at the Araneta Coliseum - I was actually convinced by my mom to watch the DLSU vs UST game. ( Pinayagan na niya ako finally to go watch! ) You see, my mom is a UAAP addict not to mention a big DLSU fan. She loves watching DLSU games live!! As I entered the Big Dome - the feeling was already different. I could already see swarms of Green colored shirts scattered everywhere! There were familiar faces - and there were strangely - new ones too! I can't believe I'm watching the live games again - after like 2 freaking years of just watching on TV! The feeling is unexplainable - I felt like I was in college all over again!! When the players started to come it - it hit me that - it really been years since I last watched a game - I mean really watched a game. You see while I was still in DLSU - I remembered all the names and faces of the players!

for the GUYS - you'll LOVE THIS!!

“As primal beings, men are not supposed to be monogamous. When people ask, ‘Do you believe in monogamy?’ Well, of course that’s what you want. But part of what I love about men is that it’s hard for them to be monogamous. Women, I think, need to spend more time understanding men than changing men. And vice versa.” - Kate Hudson tells the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar

a Rainy Wednesday...

It's actually a miracle - when I hear Mass last Sunday at Sanctuario de San Jose - there was a prayer that was said towards the end of the Mass. The prayer was asking for rain. After a few hours - it did rain. Cats and dogs actually! :) I could just imagine the number of people who prayed together for the rains to come!! Wow! Anyhoooo.. My Wednesday was greeted with the sound of strong rains, I looked outside the window to check if it was just my imagination or if it was the real thing! It was the real thing - when I went down to the office - my mom told me ' Di, all our PLDT phones are dead !' My goodness! We rely on the telephone for business! Yikes! You see - we have a total of 4 lines - 3 of which are PLDT Lines. Okay - so what now? I knew that I should call PLDT's hotline - but what phone will I use? The Bayantel won't recognize the number - it will just lead me to Bayantel's repair service! So what do I do now? Such a HUGE dilema! First, to

Oakley - Behave

Image was borrowed from oakley.com I have been scouting for the perfect sunglasses - that I will be able to use on a regular basis... I saw this one and fell in love with it... Yesterday - I tried it on.. It looked weird on me.. as my Panget would say ' Nah......' Damn..

My newest buy!!

Photo borrowed from Tiramisu Bags This is my newest buy! It's as if I hadn't had enough of shopping already!! You see, I only bought 1 bag during my recent trip to Hong Kong. I was very disappointed! And while reading through one of the blogs that I'm visiting rather often nowadays - Flair in the City - I saw this bag. I was immediately taken by it! I liked the color - I've never owned a blue bag in whole life! So I sent a text message to the seller - her name's Mika (0917.8601860) she told me that the bags are available but she only ships them to the buyers, I can opt to purchase them at Peppered Cherry at Serendra. Good thing - my Panget and I were headed there yesterday - and so I made calls to check if there were stocks in Peppered Cherry - there were! Yehaaaa!! I was excited!! I was told by Mika that the bag was priced at Php950.00 - regardless if I bought it from her or from Peppered Cherry. And so I was just expecting a damage of less than a thous

Back in the game..

I think it's been more than a week since I last attended a Bikram Yoga class. Yesterday afternoon was my first class - after my 'break'. And Tristan was teaching. Go figure! I had a hard time breathing, while doing the poses I developed a headache and it was freaking hot!! My gosh - it was like I started back from square one. Well, actually - if you've been gone for more than a week - it really feels different, kind of like the feeling of when you've just taken your first class ever! Why do I subject myself to this kind of torture? Vanity!!! The Bikram Yoga Manila 's testimonial page is up and running! You can check it out now.. :) Click HERE to read
