Ready Steady Go Kids Philippines

In this modern age physical play is almost non existent.  What we used to do as kids - run around and playing with other kids are now replaced with watching videos on an iPad, playing games with handheld gadgets.  My personal preference is that I like my kids to be active and know how to interact and socialize and we practice just that.  I do not judge other parents when they decide on giving their kids iPads or handheld  gadgets because each parent and each child is different - who am I to compare or judge - I respect that decision of theirs.

Last week, I was introduced to Ready Steady Go Kids Philippines which is a franchise from Australia's Ready Steady Go Kids program.  Simply put the concept is that RSGK uses sports as means to teach kids life skills and other skills such as listening, following directions, concentration, numbers, shapes, and colors.

I found it really interesting because the concept is new (for me, ha) and I for one believe so much in physical play and activity as a means to learning.  They use 10 different sports to introduce to the kids simple skills.  What hooked me on the concept is that the kids can get to try different sports in a term, which normally you would need to enroll in separate occasions.  The kids get the opportunity to be exposed to certain sports that is not normally available or generally taught like rugby, cricket and T-ball.

I met the people behind Ready Steady Go Kids Philippines - JP and Meriel and they are very passionate about this and I am very much impressed with their knowledge on the program and also their wanting to share to others the benefits of learning through sports.  It was discussed that there are places that opened up which encourages physical activity - but there was none that used sports as means to teach skills - and I think this is their advantage in the market.

Enrollment for their 2nd Term is now open and is set to start middle of October.  So hurry and inquire now!  To learn more on Ready Steady Go Kids Philippines - visit their Facebook page and their webiste http://readysteadygokids.com.ph/  They have trial classes available, but please do call first to schedule.   You may call them at (02) 631-1497 or shoot them an email at info@readysteadygokids.com.ph

To JP and Meriel and the whole Ready Steady Go Kids Philippines team - THANK YOU for bringing this to our country!!  I am looking forward to joining your class soon!!

I will be sharing my experiences on this blog after our trial class, so stay tuned!!
