I miss the shower..

We're currently experiencing water shortage.

It's been three days - Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

I have a confession to make - I miss using the shower.

I've been using the old fashioned tabo and balde.

But you know what I figured out? I can use LESS water with using the balde & tabo as compared to using the shower!

I wonder, how much water do I use up when I use the shower?  Because with the balde & tabo - I just consume one (1) whole balde!

That's one for me and one for my Panget!

Hmmm...

As much as I'd like to conserve water, I hope that we can fashion a device that will ease and utilize the use of the balde & tabo method.

What do you think?

    I believe that we should all consume less, as we have really abused mother earth. I know that traveling afar that the balde & tabo are in affect in many hotels. I can really appreciate people that want and do go green. By using this method it is said you save anywhere from 3 to 5 gallons on a shower. Keep going green!

Learning Mandarin, what method is best?

I studied in a sort of Chinese school for 13 years. So that "sort of' means, I SHOULD know how to speak basic Mandarin right? NOT QUITE!! I studied in a Chinese school where we only get less than an hour of Chinese class daily.  When you think about it, well - one hour a day, should be okay - but the problem is, at that time - it was pure memorization.  The books that we used, were those traditional books that I honestly have no idea what is written in them.  I see Chinese characters and they're just that - Chinese characters without meaning, nothing.  It was not practical if you ask me.  The words we were taught were not used in everyday conversation It was only during my 3rd or 4th year of high school that I realized how important knowing how to speak Chinese was.  It was during a trip to the Chinese border from Hong Kong that while I was going around the mall, I was having a hard time communicating with people who looked like me.  I wa...
