D'Little Gyoza House

I've been seeing this place for months now, but it was only yesterday that I was able to go and check this place out.  It was just after office hours and so I was the only person there.  The location is quite weird because you won't be able to see it unless you pass by Miller Street often, and Miller Street isn't exactly a high traffic street for restaurant seekers - the area is actually mostly warehouses mixed in a residential area.  The signage is quite small, so if you are coming from Baler Street - its not really visible.

So yesterday, I went and ordered their Orginal gyoza and Chili gyoza for take out.  The service was quite fast because I was the only one there (it was just after office hours).  The waiter was also nice enough to suggest that I try their other dishes like the fried rice and ramens.  But since I was only after the gyozas, I politely declined.

While inside the car - the wonderful aroma of the gyozas taunted me!  They smelled soooo wonderful!  When I reached home - I immediately took a bite of the original gyoza and it was good!  It wasn't the best but it was good enough!  For the price of P120.00 for 5 pieces of gyoza - I think it was already worth it!

I wasn't able to get pics of the actual gyozas because we ate them all!

I'm planning to go back again to try their other dishes.

ANSON SUPERMARKET - Grocery delivery!!

Sharing is caring, so we can't keep it a secret any longer.  THIS is where we get out groceries!  Well, Anson Supermarket has been where we have been purchasing all of our kids' diapers!  From Kailee to Connor to Shobe!  Yes, yes, yes! A week into the lockdown, it just occurred to us that we can get our groceries from them - but then we thought, we didn't want to force them to do it - after all it's a different time now.  But when we asked and they said yes, it was like we won the lottery.  We sent out our list - a very VERY SPECIFIC list and voila after a day or two (we weren't in a rush) they told us to schedule a pick up.  Please remember that I am sharing this with you guys because I believe so much in the saying 'sharing is caring'.  Please be mindful of your language and respect those who will call or message you about your orders.  Also note that some items might NOT be available - so manage your expectations.   They're a ...

#CookingQuest: Winter Melon Soup ala Didi #EnhancedCommunity

One of the things that gets ooohs and aaaahs in a chinese restaurant is the #WinterMelonSoup.   You may ask why?  Well because with this soup, restaurants use the winter melon itself as a huge bowl to serve the soup!  It's a sight to see as you'll be amazed how they were able to pull it off.  You'll see the whole winter melon, and then suddenly they're take out the top part and when you peek in, the soup is inside together with meat bits and other veggies!  My mom has tried it at home, and I remember her being nervous that the winter melon doesn't break apart, kunde sira ang presentation! So during this #EnhancedCommunityQuarantine, I chanced upon Theo's Farm that they have winter melon, so I ordered.  When I saw it - I knew I wouldn't be able to pull off the carving and serving the winter melon.  It actually made the preparation easier.  I had to ask my mom, and she told me to steam the winter melon to soften it.  Honestly, I don't t...

Shopping in Guam

While walking around K-Mart - I was asking myself - did I need anything? Nothing popped! Hahaha.. Until I realized - that I was in a US territory, meaning most American goods that I always ask my Panget's brother to buy MUST be here somewhere. Right there and then, things I wanted started to come of my head! I searched for the following items first: - Caladryl Clear - Creme Bleach - Carmex - Vick's Vapor Rub (Made in Mexico - my Aunt, specified this!) - Efferdent Denture Cleansers (my Aunt's) - Pepcid AC Maximum Strength - Lip Balms - DIY Highlights Kit - Pentel RSVP Pen Set - Secret Deodorant in Vanilla - And some other unique stuffs! Hahaha... So, did I get all of them? Hahaha! I did - except for the Carmex - apparently, the K-Mart Guam does not carry Carmex! Hmmm.. Strange, but what can I do right? Let the pictures do the talking... Shopping in Guam can be C.R.A.Z.Y. !! Think about this - a street that has 2 LV stores, 2 Gucci stores, 2 Bottega Venneta stores, 2 Prada s...
