Montecito: Resort & Casino, Las Vegas

When I first saw this show, I thought that the Montecito Resort & Casino was a real casino. I thought maybe it was new and it just recently started its operations. But when I searched it on the internet - my search came empty handed. No such casino exists!

When I visited Metrowalk last Friday, my Panget and I went to our friend Imma's suki for DVD's and while rummaging through her stacks of DVDs - I found the season 1-3 of Las Vegas (the series). At first, I was skeptical - but when I learned of the price of each DVD - I immediately handed it to Wheng (the nice lady who owns the stall) and I was really excited to watch it. As my Panget told me when we got to the car - 'May isang taong hindi na matutulog!' 'Someone's going to be up all night!' And he got it right - because I couldn't sleep!! I was hooked on watching it episode after episode. And last night - at about 2:00am I finished the first season's finale - and to top it off, I saw at least 3 more episodes of the 2nd season! Yes, I am hooked on this show and tonight after gym - I will go and watch this till the wee hours of the night!

The cast is headed by the veteran James Caan - Mr. Sonny Corleone himself! It was like going back to his roots! Sans too much drama - he was also funny in some of his movies! Despite age - Jimmy Caan exudes the same passion in acting - like when he was younger! He's still very very good!

I first saw Josh Duhamel in the movie 'Win a Date with Tad Hamilton' co-starring Kate Bosworth and Topher Grace( I love him too!) To be honest, I never liked Josh Duhamel - but after watching the first season- he grows on you - now I find him irrisistingly adorable!! A sudden change huh?! Well, attribute it to finishing 1 whole season in just 2 days! Haha!! Well, he's really bagay/'fit' with the role - I can't imagine someone else who'll fit perfectly!

ANSON SUPERMARKET - Grocery delivery!!

Sharing is caring, so we can't keep it a secret any longer.  THIS is where we get out groceries!  Well, Anson Supermarket has been where we have been purchasing all of our kids' diapers!  From Kailee to Connor to Shobe!  Yes, yes, yes! A week into the lockdown, it just occurred to us that we can get our groceries from them - but then we thought, we didn't want to force them to do it - after all it's a different time now.  But when we asked and they said yes, it was like we won the lottery.  We sent out our list - a very VERY SPECIFIC list and voila after a day or two (we weren't in a rush) they told us to schedule a pick up.  Please remember that I am sharing this with you guys because I believe so much in the saying 'sharing is caring'.  Please be mindful of your language and respect those who will call or message you about your orders.  Also note that some items might NOT be available - so manage your expectations.   They're a ...

#CookingQuest: Winter Melon Soup ala Didi #EnhancedCommunity

One of the things that gets ooohs and aaaahs in a chinese restaurant is the #WinterMelonSoup.   You may ask why?  Well because with this soup, restaurants use the winter melon itself as a huge bowl to serve the soup!  It's a sight to see as you'll be amazed how they were able to pull it off.  You'll see the whole winter melon, and then suddenly they're take out the top part and when you peek in, the soup is inside together with meat bits and other veggies!  My mom has tried it at home, and I remember her being nervous that the winter melon doesn't break apart, kunde sira ang presentation! So during this #EnhancedCommunityQuarantine, I chanced upon Theo's Farm that they have winter melon, so I ordered.  When I saw it - I knew I wouldn't be able to pull off the carving and serving the winter melon.  It actually made the preparation easier.  I had to ask my mom, and she told me to steam the winter melon to soften it.  Honestly, I don't t...

Shopping in Guam

While walking around K-Mart - I was asking myself - did I need anything? Nothing popped! Hahaha.. Until I realized - that I was in a US territory, meaning most American goods that I always ask my Panget's brother to buy MUST be here somewhere. Right there and then, things I wanted started to come of my head! I searched for the following items first: - Caladryl Clear - Creme Bleach - Carmex - Vick's Vapor Rub (Made in Mexico - my Aunt, specified this!) - Efferdent Denture Cleansers (my Aunt's) - Pepcid AC Maximum Strength - Lip Balms - DIY Highlights Kit - Pentel RSVP Pen Set - Secret Deodorant in Vanilla - And some other unique stuffs! Hahaha... So, did I get all of them? Hahaha! I did - except for the Carmex - apparently, the K-Mart Guam does not carry Carmex! Hmmm.. Strange, but what can I do right? Let the pictures do the talking... Shopping in Guam can be C.R.A.Z.Y. !! Think about this - a street that has 2 LV stores, 2 Gucci stores, 2 Bottega Venneta stores, 2 Prada s...
